Mount Gomery will be playing two shows this weekend with some new and very old friends of ours.
We’ll be back at the Gutter in Brooklyn on Friday and at Jack’s Place in Albany on Saturday. Flyers with all the information are below.
Our last show at Radio Bushwick killed and we couldn’t have been happier with the turnout and with all the other bands that played. Our friend, Zoe Weber, was kind enough to take some flattering pictures of us. I didn’t want to diminish the quality of her work so I threw them up on a flickr account. Go check them out HERE or click the pic below.
Lastly, we will be entering Brighton Sound Studios in mid April to record the follow-up record to In Series. We found this studio after discovering the dudes in Son Step. Our sound has grown exponentially in the past 2 years and even more so with the addition of our rumble brother, Tommy Orza on bass. Expect big riffs, crooning melodies, and a batch of material that we’ve been testing out for the past year.
As always, we thank you for the continued love and support.
Father Mount Gomery
After a couple of years of searching, Mount Gomery has finally found a bassist! Tommy Orza (On the Might of Princes, Villa Vina, Limbs) is a great bassist and a righteous dude who has been breathing some new life into the MG tunes. Keep a lookout for a debut show with him sometime soon.
Here’s to a new beginning!
My good buddy Steven from My Mountain convinced me to come out of my hole and perform a solo Mount Gomery set this Friday in Manhattan. This is a first and I’ll be playing a few more songs from “In Series” than I have in the past few months. Be sure to come early and check out My Mountain and Planning for Burial.
