The Scenery

We just returned from tracking drums, bass, and guitar for our new album, “The Scenery.” Doug Raus over at Brighton Sound Studio killed it and we suggest you check him out if you’ve got any projects of your own coming up. We’ll be heading back in a few weeks to track vocals and will have this for you in the next few months.

Also, we’ll be playing at Mr. Beery’s in Bethpage, NY on May 17th. Hope to see your faces.

Mount Gomery welcomes…

After a couple of years of searching, Mount Gomery has finally found a bassist! Tommy Orza (On the Might of Princes, Villa Vina, Limbs) is a great bassist and a righteous dude who has been breathing some new life into the MG tunes. Keep a lookout for a debut show with him sometime soon.

Here’s to a new beginning!

Hey Hey,

Some news for ya:

1) The live “Floods” video was released a few days ago. Much love to the players (Dan Romans and Karyn Watts), and the crew, (Evan Brown, Eliav Mintz, and Jackie Levy). Take a few minutes out of your day and check it out HERE.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Sandy took out that beautiful dock at the beginning of the video:

2) Rehearsals have started for the “re-animation” of the DRX (the compositions of Mount Gomery drummer, Dan Romans). I performed on the release “Thesis” many years ago and I’m psyched to play some of these songs again as well as tackle some new ones. The DRX we’ll unleash on your ears on November 30th at Don Pedros. Check the Facebook event HERE as well as this sick poster by Michelle Silver.

3) Mount Gomery will close out 2012 with a show at Legion on Tuesday, Dec. 11. This show will feature a number of folkie acts such as MG’s brother band, Douglas Thomas, in addition to AK, and Jessica Martins. While those acts will feed your acoustic needs, I’ll continue to rock socks electrically to close out the show.

4) “In Series” is available on iTunes, Google Play and Spotify so go listen! And don’t forget to “like” the Facebook page.
